Alcatraz

One of the great things to do in San Francisco is visiting the mysterious Alcatraz. Wandering around the former penitentiary is a photographers haven.

In the summer time, there are day tours and spooky night tours, which are well worth it! Alcatraz Island is in the middle of a windy bay so you had better rug up (especially at night). 

There are many great photo opportunities all over the former prison, it's a highly recommended trip.
